EH have published more detail on proposals to change the governance arrangements for club hockey in England here. This will involve the break-up of the South region from 2021/22 and formation of three new league and governance structures, with Surrey likely to be divided in two along the line of the M25.
So, the SOHL would no longer exist, with clubs north of the M25 joining the new London structure and south of the M25, a new South East structure, with parallel women’s leagues. This would hopefully mean simplification of administration and more consistency in rules etc.
SOHL has not expressed an opinion on the proposals to date, leaving individual clubs to vote on proposals ay the EH AGM in March.
